Information about the semester ticket
Since the summer semester 2024, a standardised Germany semester ticket has been available for students throughout Germany. This replaces the previous semester ticket, which was converted into a Germany semester ticket. Information on the Germany semester ticket can be obtained from the AStA.
The Deutschlandsemesterticket is available to all Bachelor's and Master's students as well as all students in the Konzertexamen who are enrolled at the university and not on leave of absence.
The Deutschlandsemesterticket will be made available to you in digital form. From summer semester 2025, this is done via the S-Bahn Berlin app. To do this, go to ‚Mein Abo‘ in the side menu and register with the following details (you can leave the other fields blank):
- Salutation
- First name
- Last name
- Date of birth
- Email address (your email address sent to us by the school)
- Choose your personal password
You will receive an email with an activation link for your account. Click on the link to activate your account. You can than log in to the app under "Mein Abo" with your login details.
The first delivery of the ticket to the app takes place at the latest at the beginning of the respective semester. The ticket is updated monthly (only displayed for the current month). In order for the travel authorization to be delivered, the cell phone must be switched on and connected to the Internet. If the cell phone cannot be reached at the time the travel authorization is updated, the update will take place after the cell phone is switched on again and connected to the Internet.
If you take a leave of absence after the start of the semester, you will lose your entitlement to the Deutschlandsemesterticket at the end of the month in which the leave of absence is granted.
