Guest Students
Those who wish to attend courses with a seminar or lecture character at the Hanns Eisler without being enrolled at a Berlin university can be registered as a guest student upon application and with the written consent of the lecturer responsible for the desired course. Guest students are not members of the school.
Guest students may only take part in courses if this does not prevent students of the Hanns Eisler and guest university students of other Berlin universities from participating.
The application for guest student status must be made in writing, in the form specified by the Enrolment and Examination Office, together with the consent of the lecturer at the Enrolment and Examination Office. Proof of payment of the guest student fee in accordance with the school's framework fee regulations (Rahmengebührensatzung) must be provided. In the winter semester the application must be submitted from 1 October to 10 October, in the summer semester from 1 April to 10 April.
The total number of courses attended must not exceed three semester hours per week. Registration as a guest student is valid for the respective semester.
Participation in courses is certified for guest students with a reference to their status. Participation in course-related examinations is not permitted.
Guest University Students
Students enrolled at other Berlin universities who wish to participate in courses with a seminar or lecture character at Hanns Eisler can be registered at the Hanns Eisler as guest universtity students upon application and with the consent of the responsible lecturer, provided that no Hanns Eisler students are excluded from classes as a result. Guest university students are not members of the Hanns Eisler. Registration takes place for the respective semester. Proof of registration will be issued.
The admission requirements for courses with artistic abilities exams are unaffected.
As a rule, the total number of courses attended should not exceed four semester hours per week. Guest university students may, with the consent of the responsible lecturer, acquire certificates of achievement in courses with a seminar or lecture character. There is no legal entitlement to take examinations.
The enrolment form must be submitted to the Enrolment and Examinations Office in the form and by the deadline specified for this purpose. In the winter semester the application must be submitted from 1 October to 10 October, in the summer semester from 1 April to 10 April.
