Ivar Thomas van Urk

  • from 2000 until 2009: in-house director with the Het Nationale Toneel; member of the artistic directorship
  • numerous freelance productions
  • has worked mainly in the German-speaking world since his German debut in 2009 at the Theater Bonn with the musical performance of “To All Tomorrow’s Parties”
  • active as a musician and theater composer alongside his activities as a director
  • teaches drama at the Academy of Theatre in Amsterdam and Arnhem and the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, among others
  • lives with his family alternately in Berlin and Amsterdam
