Eisler Winds
Having evolved out of the former Symphonic Wind Orchestra, the “Eisler Winds” ensemble devotes itself annually to a wide repertoire for wind ensembles and orchestras. As such, outstanding students of the school have the possibility to present themselves as soloists. At the first concert in October 2011, the performance of Oliver Messiaen’s “et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum” received much attention, along with works by Richard Strauss and Igor Stravinsky. The ensemble is directed by Prof. Manuel Nawri.
