• Bachelor of Music with 240 credits or equivalent in the same subject as the Masters programme
• Advanced musical ability in the programme subject which must be demonstrated in the audition exam

For the pre-selection the platform muvac is used. 

On muvac you can upload video and audio recordings in the course of your application at the HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin.

Based on the uploades audio/video recordings the pre-selection is made subsequent to the application period.

• The recordings must not be older than 1 year.
• The applicants must always be fully visible in the picture, especially hands and feet should be clearly visible.
• All pieces must be performed from memory.
• Sound and image processing is not permitted.

• a baroque polyphonic work (e.g. J. S. Bach Preludes and Fugues from “The Well-Tempered Clavier”)
• a movement of a classical sonata
• a virtuosic étude

Note that for requirements that specify a complete piece or work, all movements must be prepared and recorded.

• at least four works from different stylistic eras, including
  • one polyphonic work (e.g. J. S. Bach Preludes and Fugues from “The Well-Tempered Clavier”)
  • one classical sonata (recommended is a sonata of three or four movements)
  • one representative romantic work or one work from the Classical Modernism
  • one work composed after 1950
• sight-reading

All works must be performed from memory, with the exception of the work composed after 1950.

• For summer semester: 8 November

  • one work from Classical Modernism

• Advanced musical ability and skill
• No older than 18 years old
• Proof of school enrolment
