Nils Mönkemeyer appointed professor to the Eisler in Berlin
Internationally renowned violist Nils Mönkemeyer will take up his professorship in Berlin in the summer semester of 2025. He currently teaches as a professor at the Munich University of Music and Theatre.
Alumnus Arndt Martin Henzelmann appointed professor in Munich
The Munich University of Music and Theatre has appointed Eisler alumnus Arndt Martin Henzelmann as Professor of Choral Conducting at the Institute of Church Music.
Benjamin Günst and YiWei Gu win the Max Rostal competition
Benjamin Günst from Prof. Antje Weithaas' class has won 1st prize and the audience prize at the International Max Rostal Competition for Violin. The 2nd prize went to YiWei Gu, who studies with Prof Kolja Blacher.
Eisler students will perform a percussion programme, Fauré's Piano Quartet No. 2 and Rebecca Clarke's Piano Trio in this concert of excellence to kick off the year.
As part of a cooperation with Musethica, violist Prof Veronika Hagen is a guest at a chamber music session at the Eisler. At the final concert, students will play works by Mozart and Mendelssohn.
Alumnus Kens Lui becomes 1st Kapellmeister of the Hofkapelle of the Meiningen State Theatre, and Keuntae Park Associate Conductor of the Filarmonica Banatul Timișoara. Both completed their studies with Prof Christian Ehwald and Prof Alexander Vitlin.

The Eisler graduate from the class of Prof. Antje Weithaas has been teaching as Professor of Violin at the HMDK Stuttgart since the winter semester 2024/25.
Ander Perrino Cabello double bass professor in Munich
The Eisler alumnus was appointed to a double bass professorship at the University of Music and Dance in Munich. The solo double bassist of the DSO Berlin studied with Prof Esko Laine and Janne Saksala.
Great joy for our voice studies program: Baritone Samueol Park won 1st prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich. He is studying for his Konzertexamen with Prof. Ewa Wolak.
Pacific Quintett awarded 2nd prize and audience prize
The wind quintet from Prof. Martin Spangenberg's chamber music class is also continuing the Eisler's success story at the renowned competition in Munich.
Astor Cortabarria will become deputy principal double bass with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen, Vojislav Veselinov will join the Northwest German Philharmonic Orchestra in Herford and Tamir Chuzhoy will take up a tutti position with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
