Benjamin Günst from Prof. Antje Weithaas' class has won 1st prize and the audience prize at the International Max Rostal Competition for Violin. The 2nd prize went to YiWei Gu, who studies with Prof Kolja Blacher.

Astor Cortabarria will become deputy principal double bass with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen, Vojislav Veselinov will join the Northwest German Philharmonic Orchestra in Herford and Tamir Chuzhoy will take up a tutti position with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
